If you’ve been working in the upper ranks of the world’s biggest asset manager and are bumped out during a management reshuffle, you might fancy a change of scene.
So it is with Arno Kitts, the former head of institutional sales in the UK at Blackrock, who left the firm in January as part of a management shake-out. Blackrock combined its two equities businesses – fundamental and quantitative – which meant role changes and exits across the senior ranks.
As of this month, Kitts is doing something different. He’s now working as the ‘founder and managing director’ of TVT Investment Management. TVT is run by Gordon Craigen, a former managing director at Lloyds Banking Group and CIBC World Markets, and describes itself as an ‘offshore, multistrategy, multi investment fund open to high net worth individuals’.
It’s been running since 2010 and has its registered head office in a Vicarage in Southampton, UK.
TVT is undoubtedly small, and its four listed employees also include Andrew Fraser, the former head of Americas and institutional business at Winton Capital Management and Thea Kitts-Lomax, who has no other previous FCA registered employment.
It may also be the first of many ventures for Kitts. He officially departed Blackrock in April to “pursue a portfolio of individual opportunities in the industry”.
